We were watching Mary Poppins for the first time. After the part where she pours the medicine into the spoons and announces the funny flavors, Brin smilingly says to us,”I love rum punch!”

Today Brin has been putting little toys into a small bucket, giving it to me, then saying, “Trick or treat!” as she holds out her pumpkin to me. Once she’s put all the toys into her pumpkin, she’ll go in search of more “trick-or-treats” to put into the bucket.

One of my favorite things to do is to whisper, “Hey Brin… guess what?” Anticipating what is coming, she’ll whisper back, “I love you.”

Brin and I are flying the mini-helicopter drone together when it crashes. She drops the remote, the batteries fall out, and over and over she repeats, “The internet is broken!”

When she can’t figure out how to put the batteries back in correctly, she says, “What is going on here?”

Beatles day. Brin and I are both wearing our Beatles shirts and listening to early Beatles songs on shuffle. Then an acoustic Ringo song comes on and Brin defiantly says, “Dis is NOT da Beatles.”

Brinley opens the door to the basement. In a voice you would use to coax a bunny, she says, “Come on, dat. It’s okay.”
