Brinley opens the door to the basement. In a voice you would use to coax a bunny, she says, “Come on, dat. It’s okay.”
Sometimes Brin will surprise us when we come around a corner, shouting, “Keep-a-boo!”
Brin has recently taken to launching herself between the downstairs couch and the ottoman. Before she springs, she’ll raise her hands above her head and shout, “To in-fi-ti-ty!”
Brin just shoved a head massager on top of my head. With a huge grin on her face, she looked me in the eyes and said, “Happy Birthday!”
Brin is in her jammies. She just put her purse on, went up to Mommy, and said, “Let’s go pop store!” (pet store).
In the mornings, Brin will often come out of her room, and the first thing she’ll say is, “Watch a yoofie?”
Brinley has been watching the Annie movies recently, and she loves the soundtrack. A few times a day she will sing, “Wife… for US!” and, swinging her hands with abandon, will throw whatever she’s holding.
Brinley just started calling us Mom and Dad instead of Mommy and Daddy. We are not ok with this.
Tonight we were doing family hugs. Brin held on a little longer than normal and said, “I yike dis.”
