While on a hike we pass a hiker going the other direction. After saying the customary “Good morning!” Brin tells him, “It’s a beautiful day, man.”

Brin and Sarah are driving in the car when Brin suggests, “Let’s call John!”

Sarah asks, “Who’s John?”

Brin replies, “He’s a big, grownup man. “

Sarah asks, “How do you know him?”

Brin replies, “He’s my daddy.”

Brinley sees a squirrel and tries to call it over to her. When it doesn’t come, she throws up her hands and says, “What is happening to this world?!”

When you tell your daughter, “I love you so much” she might just reply with, “Daddy, I love you a little too much.”

Brin is swinging on the patio. Kristina asks if she can swing Brin, to which Brin emphatically replies, “No!”.

I chide Brin to be nice, so she puts on a nice smile and very sweetly says, “No :)”

There’s a pretty big storm outside. All of a sudden Brin starts going “caw ca-CAW!” like a crow. I ask what she’s doing, and she says, “I’m making the storm go away with my loud sounds.”

I’m looking over Brin’s shoulder as she draws in a little notepad when she informs me, “Dad, you have to leave me alone when I’m art-ing.”
