We’re driving down the freeway when Brin spots a crane. “Cranes are that big.”
This morning Micah asks if he can use his iPad. “Papa, purple iPad?” But in his toddler voice it comes out as “pa pa pa pa pa pa?”
Micah got very excited when the robot vacuum turned on, saying “Black vacuum! Black vacuum!” Brinley, 5, responded with, “Kids. They’re just so silly.”
Brinley: “I should go to a training school so I can learn how to talk to dogs.”
Brinley lamenting the cheese options at the grocery store:
“The store didn’t have any monsterella cheese!”
Brinley bemoans not being able to unbuckle herself in her car seat.
“It’s too strong for my little thumbies.“
Brinley looking down at her poop in the toilet:
“That looks like a cactus that looks like a pineapple!”
Brinley found the tallest piece of equipment at the playground. For the past ten minutes she’s been perched atop it singing for all the playground to hear, “Whoa-oa-oa-oa! Let the music in your heart sing bright!”
Brinley recounts her frustration from earlier when she kept slipping down the slide she was trying to climb up.
“That slide has lots and lots of olive oil on it!”
I offer Brin a pretzel when she’s playing with some kids at the playground.
Nonchalantly, “Yeah, that’ll power me up.”
