Searching for the term “piggy bank”, Brin asks for the “money tank”. Usually, it’s “pinky tink”.
Mommy and Brin are making muffins this morning. After Brin has dipped her finger into the sugar about a thousand times, then licked her finger, she concludes, “We should make candy muffins.”
It’s Sunday and we’re having a lazy morning in bed. After a while Brin starts to get impatient to get a move on, so she starts pleading us to get out of bed.
“Come on!”
I pretend to fall asleep and snore.
“Come ON! I don’t have time for this!!”
It’s snacktime, and Brinley requests some ice cream. I tell her that she can have some ice cream if she eats three chicken nuggets. After some hemming and hawing, she eats the chicken nuggets, then starts with her demands for the ice cream.
She wants chocolate ice cream (“Dat’s berry good for me), she wants it in a cone, and she wants sprinkles on top. When she sees me following through with these demands, she excitedly says, “You’re doing it, Dad! You’re being a good listener!”.
Brin is demanding that I get up from the chair I’m sitting in so that she can sit there. I tell her that she needs to say please, so she grumpily says, “Please.”
I prompt her, “Please, what?”
So she says, “Please, what?”
Brin is counting in Spanish.
“Uno, dos, tres, quattro, psycho…”
Tonight I’m singing the “Oo-De-Lally” song from Disney’s Robin Hood. Brin stops me and says, “Daddy, dat’s from Robin in the Neighborhood”.
Brinley looks over to see us hugging and says, “Whoa. What a surprise.”
Brin loves making up names for all of us. Daddy is “Bop Bop”, Mommy is “Speksis”, and Brinley is “Gorgee”.
Brinley just got a plastic kitty cat toy from Payton Hidalgo. It went missing tonight, and after some frantic searches we finally found it in Brin’s laundry hamper. When asked what the kitty cat’s name is, Brin said, without hesitation, “Old Goat’s Test.”
