Micah takes a big bite of bubbles in his bubble bath. After a solid 15 seconds of then staring at the wall he says, “My mouth is confused.”
Micah and I are talking about the differences between the toys that he likes and the toys that Brinley likes. “Brinley likes cute,” he says. “And I like awesome.”
Micah is sick with the flu. We’re talking about him getting better because all of the medicine he’s had to take, and I tell him, “You’re gonna kick this virus’s butt!”
He looks confused and asks, “Tomorrow I have a fire in my butt?”
Micah turns four tomorrow. Before bed he turns to Sarah and asks, “When I turn four, I still be a kid?”
Sarah to the kids on Christmas morning, “No more cotton candy until you have your cinnamon rolls!”
Micah is on his iPad in his room after I’ve been in a meeting with my coworkers. I hear him make lots of loud conversation: “Oh? Oh yes. That would be GOOD.”
A few minutes later he walks out and declares, “I was in a meeting, but now I’m done.”
Micah is playing with some marbles and does something unexpected.
“Homie lomie!”
Micah learns a song at preschool and starts singing it around the house.
“My God is so big, so strong, and so mighty. There’s nothing Micah cannot do.”
Sarah raises and eyebrow and asks, “Did you say ‘Micah’ or ‘My God’?”
Micah says with enthusiasm, “Micah!”
“Daddy,” says Micah, inviting me to play marbles with him. “Let’s be a teamwork!”
Today Sarah brought the kids to the dollar store to buy a few things. Micah saw a necklace made of glowing Christmas lights, and he said, “I want to buy that for Dad.” So he spent his own money to buy me a random gift. 😭😭😭
