Brinley just started calling us Mom and Dad instead of Mommy and Daddy. We are not ok with this.
Tonight we were doing family hugs. Brin held on a little longer than normal and said, “I yike dis.”
As we’re walking out of daycare we see a few flocks of geese fly right over our heads.
I ask Brinley, “Where are the geese going to?”
”Santa!”
It’s Brinley’s second birthday tomorrow.
Sarah asks Brin, “Brinley, how old are you going to be tomorrow? Two?”
To which Brinley emphatically replies, “NO two. Five!”
In the morning we’ll go to the pantry so that Brinley can choose between all the lined-up cereals. We’ll go through each one, say “This one?” and she’ll shake her head until we find the one she wants. “Daff ‘un.”
Sometimes when we put Brinley in the car she’ll want to play in the backseat for a bit. So she’ll look at us and say, “A minute.”
Brin is obsessed with dinosaurs now, and when referring to them she calls them “soo”. Mommy Soo and Daddy Soo are ones she often looks for in books.
Any time Brin wants to go under something she’ll say, “Unny!”.
Now every time Brinley wants some cereal, she says, “Seer-ee-ah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah…”
Cereal is now emphatically “see-are-woh?”
