We’re playing songs on the Echo outside, and Brin requested “Lub is Indoor” from Frozen (Love is an Open Door).
Today as Brin and I were leaving the Museum of Nature and Science, I asked her, “Hey Brin, do you see our car?” She looked around for a bit, recognized our car, ran to it, gave it a great big hug on the headlight, and said, “I love you, car.”
This morning we were talking about how Mommy and Daddy have to go to work, to which Brin added, “And I go to work.” When asked about what she will do at work, she thought for a moment, then happily said, “Paper!”
Brin woke up today having wet herself and her bed. She came into our room and despairingly said, “My tummy broke!”
I come up from work, and the first thing Brinley says to me is “I don’t wanna listen to Mommy.”
Yesterday I shaved a few weeks of beard off my face. Brin immediately noticed. Then today as we were wrestling, she suddenly stopped, and, with a surprised look on her face, said, “Your beard is back!”
We’ve been watching a fair amount of Daniel Tiger lately, or as Brin refers to it, “Dangle da Tiger”.
We were watching Mary Poppins for the first time. After the part where she pours the medicine into the spoons and announces the funny flavors, Brin smilingly says to us,”I love rum punch!”
Often when Brin feels like a snack she’ll ask for “cheese and Gromits (crackers)”.
Today Brin has been putting little toys into a small bucket, giving it to me, then saying, “Trick or treat!” as she holds out her pumpkin to me. Once she’s put all the toys into her pumpkin, she’ll go in search of more “trick-or-treats” to put into the bucket.
