Brin loves making up names for all of us. Daddy is “Bop Bop”, Mommy is “Speksis”, and Brinley is “Gorgee”.
Brinley just got a plastic kitty cat toy from Payton Hidalgo. It went missing tonight, and after some frantic searches we finally found it in Brin’s laundry hamper. When asked what the kitty cat’s name is, Brin said, without hesitation, “Old Goat’s Test.”
Brinley is playing with some “Hatchimal” toys in the sink. She turns and asks me, “You make some warm water for these critters?”
My coworker Jeff came today to drop off some Chipotle for a meal train. While he was here, Brin decided to show off her new potty skills. So while we were talking in the living room, she proceeds to bring her potty out to the living room, take off all of her clothes, poop in the potty, then excitedly show the poop to a very stunned Jeff.
When Brin sees something she doesn’t like, like a toy, she’ll say, “That toy makes me not good.”
Whenever Brin does something she’s not trying to do she’ll say, “Oh, farnit.”
Brin, singing a song she brought home from school:
“This is the way I travel to, travel to, travel to. This is the way I travel to, all day morning.”
It’s nap time and Brin just yelled to me from her bedroom, “Daddy John Warne! Scrub my back!”
This morning we’re talking about how Brin’s Elsa doll fell into the bath last night. She says, “Yeah, Elsa falled in and got wet. She’s dry now. THAT happened.”
At bedtime tonight both Sarah and Brin were lying on my chest, looking in each other’s eyes and singing songs. It was so cute and so sweet that my eyes started to water.
Brin looked up and asked, “Are you eyes broken, Daddy?”
Sarah said, “Daddy is happy and it is making him cry.”
I said, “Sometimes you have so much happiness that it comes out of your eyes.”
