Today Brinley decided to give the bees a treat by creating a “bee cafe”, complete with a jar of water and some plant fixings.

Don’t turn your back on Brinley, because she just might take a bag of frozen dinner rolls out of the freezer, place five of them into the microwave, and turn it on for 12 minutes. Word to the wise.

As an Easter gift, today Brinley received an outdoor exploration kit which includes a compass. Deciding it was a good idea to bring it on our afternoon walk, she tells me, “Now if I get lost, I can always find you.”

My heart.

Brin asks if Mac & Cheese makes her big and strong. After I say yes, she starts lifting up various items around the room, a big huff accompanying each effort.

“Am I getting strong dots?“

“Strong what?”

“In my arms!” Pointing at her biceps.

“Oh, you mean muscles?”

“Yeah!“

Tonight I tell Brin about a dream I had last night where I was on stage playing with the band. My guitar neck randomly broke mid-song and I got some stares from the other band members.

Puzzled, Brinley asks, “Daddy, why did your guitar break?”

“I’m not sure, Boo.”

“Did you rock it too hard?”

“Yes, sweetheart. Yes I did.”

Brin notices that Micah has dug up one of Sarah’s tulip bulbs.

Sarah says, “Oops! We’ve got to plant that back in the dirt.”

Brin takes the bulb and replies, “Okay, I’ll find somewhere hideous.”
