Micah starts to cry because he’s hungry. In a very calming voice, Brin tells him, “It’s ok. There’s no monsters in here, bud.”

Brin and I are wrestling. When I nibble on her hand, she recoils and says, “That’s not a lunch! That’s just my hand.”

Brin has had a fever of 102º for the past four days. After Sarah scheduled an appointment to go see the pediatrician Brinley comes down to my office to tell me that she’s going to go see “Doc McStephanie”.

In an outpouring of love, I tell Brin, “Brin, I’m always, always, always gonna love you. No matter what.”

To which she replies, “Umm… no.”

Mommy and Brin are making muffins this morning. After Brin has dipped her finger into the sugar about a thousand times, then licked her finger, she concludes, “We should make candy muffins.”

It’s Sunday and we’re having a lazy morning in bed. After a while Brin starts to get impatient to get a move on, so she starts pleading us to get out of bed.

“Come on!”

I pretend to fall asleep and snore.

“Come ON! I don’t have time for this!!”
